Your child will bring home a hard copy of the letter and the sponsor form tomorrow.  

FoRJMPS Colour run 2025

On Friday 20th June 2025 Friends of R J Mitchell Primary School (PTA) will be holding a Colour run event, this is a sponsored event to raise money for FoRJMPS (PTA) to fund equipment for the R J Mitchell Primary School.

Parents are welcome to attend and join in the fun by joining us at 2:00pm on the school field. 

What to Expect

A high-energy warm-up to get you race-ready!

A colour explosion obstacle course – run, walk, dance, or hop your way to the finish! (It’s all about fun, not speed). Get showered in vibrant powder as you make your way through the course. A staggered start by year group.

The colour powder used at this event is all certified non-toxic and non-irritant to skin. The bright coloured powder is produced using non-toxic pigments. All participants need to be aware that the powder may come into contact with skin and eyes and there is a risk of inhalation.

What to Bring

• Wear comfy, old clothes - it's non uniform. A white t-shirt is best for a full rainbow effect (but any old shirt will do). The paint powder shouldn’t stain but we can’t guarantee this, so make sure you are wearing clothes and footwear that you don’t mind getting colour on. 
• Eyewear is also mandatory - sunglasses or goggles are recommended for eye protection.  You can bring your own or purchase from the PTA.
• Clean up after the race -  a towel and baby wipes might come in handy afterwards!

Pupils with asthma 

Asthmatics are advised to seek medical advice before participating, face masks can be supplied on the day if required.

Sponsorship information 

Please find a sponsorship form. We urge you to kindly ask family, friends, neighbours and others from our community to pledge sponsorship. Where possible, please also complete the gift aid information to help us raise even more funds. Please return the form and monies to school by Thursday 26th June.

By signing this consent form you hereby agree to permit your child to participate in The Colour Run at R J Mitchell Primary on Friday 20th June 2025. 

Your child will not be able to participate in the event unless we receive this signed Consent Form. This form will be treated in the strictest confidence. Please let us know of any changes to the information you provide below.
